Individual results may vary depending on a number of factors.
ABOUT OUR BLEND:
Goat’s Rue is from the same family as fenugreek and some argue it is the best herb for increasing the natural flow of breast milk as well as the volume of production. Goat’s Rue is known to stimulate the development of mammary tissue, even in women whose breasts didn’t increase during pregnancy. It facilitates let-down, so the body can release its milk. Goat’s rue also helps protect the liver, and is a digestive aid. It is known to be one of the most potent herbs to support lactation in women who have difficulty breastfeeding because of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), previous breast surgeries or adoption.
Organic Fenugreek Seed Powder (Trigonella foenum-graecum) –
Fenugreek is a herb grown the world over, from France to India and North Africa. The dried ripe seed is used, for its active ingredient diosgenin. It’s the most commonly recommended herb for increasing milk production, since diosgenin is a phytoestrogen. Fenugreek contains antioxidants which help counter infections naturally while breastfeeding. It’s also known to help reduce menstrual pain. It’s not unusual that Fenugreek may cause a maple-syrup odor in a mother or baby’s sweat.
Organic Milk Thistle is native to the Mediterranean region and a member of the Asteraceae plant family, which includes other plants like sunflowers and daisies. It has been used for more than 2000 years for its healing properties and has also been shown to increase prolactin in the body and stimulate breast milk production. Milk thistle not only increases milk supply but it’s active ingredient Silymarin is known to be effective in lowering cholesterol levels as well as for detoxifying and cleansing the liver, ensuring that the milk you produce is toxic free!
Organic Anise Seed (Pimpinella Anisum) –
Anise is a tall perennial herb whose seeds feature a sweet scent and a liquorice flavor. That scent comes from an essential oil called anethole, which is a phytoestrogen. Phytoestrogens are plant chemicals that mimic estrogen in the body, thus increasing the body’s ability to enact estrogen-based processes. This includes the production of breast milk. Anise counters clogged ducts and other problems by creating a constant milk flow. Anise has a long history as a digestive aid which also relieves cramps, gassiness and colic symptoms in the baby.
Organic Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare) –
Fennel is a common herb many people use for cooking and healing. Using only a modest amount of fennel is known to increase milk supply with the added benefit of helping counteract infant colic and alleviate and dispel gas both in mother and in baby, passing through the breastmilk. Fennel is known to help with tummy upset, indigestion and heartburn, aids gently with bowel movements, and prevents associated cramping. It’s been used for centuries to relieve menstrual problems and balance the menstrual cycle.
Organic Red Raspberry Leaf –
Organic Red Raspberry Leaf not only helps to increase breastmilk production, but it is highly nutritive and will help the uterus tone and strengthen after birth. Many pregnant women drink raspberry leaf tea because of this quality, to strengthen the uterus for labor and birth. However, even after labor, Raspberry Leaf is also beneficial in helping with milk supply, shrinking the uterus back down to its usual size, and regulating hormones. Red Raspberry Leaf is incredibly high in vitamins and minerals. It’s calcium, magnesium and iron content can help to relieve diarrhea and nausea. The American Pregnancy Association suggests Raspberry Leaf can also help reduce postpartum depression.
Organic Ginger Root –
Ginger is a power food with many and varied health benefits. The root or underground stem (rhizome) can be consumed fresh, powdered, dried as a spice, in oil form or as juice Ginger has a long history of use for relieving digestive problems such as nausea, loss of appetite, motion sickness and pain and has also been found to increase natural milk production and promote let-down. Ginger also reduces the risk of and alleviates mastitis. Ketones in ginger, and specifically the gingerols, boost the immune system for mother and baby. Ginger is also an anti-inflammatory, decreases blood glucose, suppresses nausea, is soothing for digestion and promotes overall calming.
DHA Powder –
A pure, high-quality omega-3 fish oil, DHA should be included in a woman’s supplement regimen before and during pregnancy, as well as during breastfeeding. Both EPA and DHA are important, but DHA is particularly important during the early stages of an infant’s life in establishing healthy structure and function of the brain. Babies generate DHA more slowly than adults and it’s beneficial for them to be supplemented with breast milk. DHA is essential to ensure optimal fetal brain, eye, immune and nervous system development. Baby’s need for DHA remains critical through two years of age as these early years are key brain development time.
Flax Seed Powder Flax Seed Powder is a great source of Omegas and ALA which helps firm up the DHA in the infant. ALA is an essential fatty acid necessary for energy production and cell protection and cannot be produced by the body. The addition here is very good for the infant and helps mother as well. Flax seed also acts as a mild laxative. Breastfeeding mothers often struggle with constipation after birth) and many are concerned about taking a laxative with good reason. The small amount of flax seed Concepta uses can be a gentle help for mother with her regularity.
Vitamins Boost – Thiamine B1, Riboflavin B2, Pyridoxine B6, Folic Acid B9, Pyridoxine B12 and Vitamin C: The B-complex vitamins are co-enzymatic and contribute to healthy hormone regulation, cell growth and replication. The B vitamins work together to help the body convert protein, carbohydrates and fat into energy. Babies need B vitamins to metabolize their milk properly. Vitamin C helps form and repair red blood cells, bones, and tissues as well as aiding iron absorption.
What Concepta does NOT use: no magnesium stearate, no silicon dioxide, no soy, no gluten, no fillers, just clean pure organic and healthy ingredients for safety of mother and baby.
NOTE: Fenugreek and Goat’s Rue are in the same family with peanuts and chickpeas, and may cause an allergic reaction in moms who are allergic to these things. Fenugreek reduces blood glucose levels, so insulin dosage may need to be adjusted.
Staying well hydrated while breastfeeding is incredibly important. The easiest way to stay hydrated is to drink 2 full glasses of water every time you breastfeed your baby, even at two in the morning 🙂

I really had a bad experience with the nursing tea, it smelled mouldy like maybe I was just too sensitive to it. These pills are really convenient, and really effective. So far, so good
Makes you wonder how other companies justify their prices. I switched to Concepta after we moved to the city and I was trying to balance our budget. Was able to save money without compromising quality or results with these
I spent the first two weeks crying over how little breast milk my princess was recieving. My bestie went through every type of supplement when she had her first and she always told me none of them helped her, so I didn’t even think it was an option for me. When my nutritionist recommended Concepta, I realized there may be more to the story. Now two weeks later I can barely remember what was so hard! 6 oz per pumping session - just goes to show what natural supplements can do.
It’s rare to be able to say that
I guess every one is different, after the first couple days I didnt see any more milk coming in but I didnt lose hope. I just took two more pills a day and then BOOM it started coming in like the first rain after a long dry summer.
Happy to say my girl is now back on the breast, now that I can supply her more fully with the amount she needs
I love this product, I’ve been taking 2 pills in the morning and sometimes another 2 at night. They really helped with my milk production and don’t have a bad taste
My first two kids I needed to supplement Enfamil for my girls to be full. I decided to try something natural for my first boy so I bought Concepta’s natural lactation supplement. Wow, did they make a difference! Now I have my freezer stocked with bags of extra milk most of the time
I really thought this was the way it is, producing 1.5 ounces each time even though doc said our baby needs more. Was gonna turn to formula but I found these pills on Amazon and then all of the sudden 4-5 ounces every nursing!
